In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, You called Your servant, Pope Francis, to shepherd Your flock with humility, mercy, and a heart aflame with love for the poor and marginalized. Today we joyfully entrust him into Your everlasting embrace. May Christ the Good Shepherd, who laid down His life for His sheep, welcome him at the gates of heaven with open arms. May he stand in the company of St. Peter and all the apostles, praising You without end. We give thanks for his faithful witness to the Gospel, his tenderness toward the lost, and his tireless call for justice and peace. Through his intercession, may our Church be ever more united in charity and service. Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, and Our Lady of Lebanon, pray that our beloved Pope Francis may rest forever in the light of Christ’s face. Saints of all times, intercede that he may rejoice in the fullness of divine life. Keep us, O Lord, in the communion of saints, as we await the happy reunion of all God’s children in Your heavenly home. We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen. In the communion of saints, we praise You, Lord, now and forever. Amen.
Requiem Mass at St Mary's Cathedral at 1pm From Requiem Mass at St Mary's Cathedral at 1pm From the hills of Lebanon to the heart of the Vatican, we join our brothers and sisters worldwide in mourning the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, who returned to the house of the Father. His faithful witness to the Gospel and his unwavering compassion for the poor and marginalised shaped our Church and inspired our Maronite tradition of hospitality and service. As Maronites, we feel a strong bond with the successor of St. Peter who chose simplicity over splendor, echoing the spirit of our own Christ‑centered liturgy and communal life. In his 12‑year pontificate, he walked among us with humility, reminding us that every human life bears the imprint of God’s image. Today, we light the candles of our churches and homes, lifting our prayers for the repose of his soul. May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Patroness of Lebanon and Queen of the East, intercede for our beloved Pope Francis and grant strength to the Church as we await a new shepherd. 🙏🕊️ #PopeFrancis #Maronite #EasternCatholic #UnityInPrayer #ServeWithLove #RIP
